With a new specialist engineering company employing some 40 plus staff in Stockton on Tees starting with MCE’s employee care and company wellbeing provision, MCE staff are being kept extremely busy. In addition a national company is in the process of instructing us to support their staff and in Dorset several companies with total staff in excess of 400 have recognised MCE as key in helping them achieve targets and goals they have already set in improving general wellbeing, job satisfaction, reduced absenteeism and better staff retention.

MCE has been invited to meet with an international company in Holland, so it looks like the coming weeks are going to continue to be just as busy.

MCE’s business development manager Michael Cook, is finding that potential clients already have an increased awareness of the tangible benefits available to all parts of their organisation.

He states some companies prefer us to use the term ‘Chaplains’, and others prefer for us to promote our staff as ‘Employee Care Teams’. Either is fine by us. MCE always tailor make our proposals to suit our client companies, and this is just one aspect of us listening to our clients.

With the new coalition government nearing two weeks in office there are still mixed feelings about how the change in the political world will affect those in the economic world. Despite Germany announcing today that it would fund a rescue package to help sustain the Euro, the FTSE 100 share index fell to it’s lowest since last November.

Although all parties warned consistently throughout the election campaign of tough cuts being in the pipeline and much media attention being given to the £6 billion spending cuts to be announced in an emergency budget in 6 weeks time, it is still unknown how this will actually affect the shop floor...
