Introduction to Marketplace Chaplains

A major milestone was reached when Marketplace Chaplains Europe hired its first three chaplains and began serving its first client company - a European conglomerate in Glenrothes, Scotland, with 140 employees.

The history making "first chaplains in Scotland" include Jon Magee, Pat Clark and Eileen Miller, all who live within six miles of Glenrothes. According to Truitt and UK Director Jonathan Martin of Poole, England, the initial chaplains are highly qualified and deeply dedicated individuals who have education, experience, and commitment to serve workers and their families. Chaplaincy teams have also been established in Maidenhead, Berkshire, Poole in Dorset, Stockton on Tees, Teesside and are continuing to spread across the Uk.

Dr Dan Truitt, Ph.D. chairs a small but experienced Board. For 25 years Dan has initiated chaplaincy care programmes to businesses from almost every sector. Board Member Harvey Thomas is an international communications consultant and Margaret Mcveigh an educator and business woman. Secretary and UK Director Jonathan Martin has significant experience of running small businesses, as well as leading a national charity serving the Armed Forces and has spent 9 years delivering outstanding care to statutory sector organizations.
